Google’s Gmail email service has problems with message classification. Because of this, important messages can end up in Spam, while advertising messages, on the contrary, appear among the main emails.
The official Google Workspace status bar indicates that the problems began on Saturday, and users may experience both «incorrect classification of emails in their inbox and additional spam warnings,» TechCrunch reports.
It is noted that the main «Inbox» tab is filled with messages that usually appear in the «Advertisements», «Social Networks» or «Updates» tabs. And spam warnings have appeared in emails from known senders.

Social media users are complaining that «all the spam is going straight to the inbox» and that Gmail filters seem to «suddenly have completely broken down.»
«We are actively working to resolve this issue,» Google said. «As always, we encourage users to follow standard best practices when dealing with messages from unknown senders.»
