Gorokhovsky said that a new cube-shaped icon has appeared in the Shake to Pay menu.
«You click there, your friends click on your icon — and everyone ends up in a random room. There, our cat determines who among those present will be lucky today,» wrote the co-founder of monobank.
According to the developers, this should help decide who closes the table at the establishment or «who is going for a beer this time.»
The Shake to Pay feature was introduced in monobank back in 2018. To activate it, you need to shake your smartphone with the mono app installed, which activates the device search. If another monobank user nearby does this at the same time, the apps will find each other and activate the P2P transfer function between the two cards.
The function simplifies the process of transferring funds (especially if the user is not in your contacts) and avoids dictating and writing down the card number.
«And did you know about the shake 2 pay disco? This feature has been around for many years, but few people noticed it. If 5 more people shake a monobank next to you, the disco automatically turns on. It’s a pity that few people hear it, because everyone’s phones are on silent,» noted Oleg Horohovsky.
Previously, monobank presented a new service in its application — group expenses. It allows you to create contact groups and add participants to their expenses, and then automatically calculates debts.
