Borodatyuk said this on the podcast of the «Underground Standup» YouTube channel.
«It’s literally taking away [work]. That is, there are software products out there that we didn’t buy because someone sat down and coded this product in an evening,» the head of FRACTAL noted.
He said that the FRACTAL PLUS app for self-discovery and career guidance was created by FRACTAL’s AI Director, Serhiy Sauta, alone in just a few months. The company estimated that if a team had worked on the app, its creation would have cost about $500,000.
«I believe that at first everyone will be delighted with the increase in the company’s profits, and then there will be the first stage of devaluation of work and money — everything will become cheaper, because now work will cost less,» Artem Borodatyuk gave a forecast regarding the integration of AI into IT workflows.
The FRACTAL boss also shared how he himself coded the app with the help of Claude Cowork. He wanted to sort the 12,000 liked tracks on his Spotify by genre and even tried to do it using a third-party paid service, but was not satisfied with the result.
«I thought: 'Damn, I’ll take it and just go through Spotify.' I have paid Spotify, API, all that crap. And I made an application. I probably would have ordered it before, but I won’t order it now — I’ve already done it myself,» Borodatyuk said.
