Denys Koretsky has joined the e-commerce team of VARUS.UA. As the Marketplace Development Director, he will be responsible for building, technical training, and further scaling the new direction, the company announced.
Denys Koretsky has over 10 years of experience in online commerce. For the past five years, he has held the position of Head of Marketplace at ALLO. Previously, he also worked as Product Owner at Hubber and Apteka24, where he was responsible for product and operational processes.
The new appointment came at a time when the marketplace strategy has already been defined and the team is moving on to its implementation. According to the results of 2025, VARUS.UA's e-commerce turnover grew by almost 97%, and the online direction itself was separated into a separate business unit.
"After the experience of working with a classic large marketplace, I was interested in another management challenge. VARUS.UA is developing a focused food platform around household life scenarios. Now is a good time for this: the strategy has already been defined, e-commerce is actively growing, and the architecture of the marketplace itself can be designed from scratch," commented Denys Koretsky.
Concept: Marketplace for life scenarios
The VARUS.UA platform is being developed not as a universal large catalog, but as a service that covers specific daily household needs: weekly grocery shopping, repeating a regular order, or quickly collecting a basket.
Main technological and product solutions:
Single checkout with split payments: the ability to combine VARUS.UA products and partner products in a single order and pay for them in one step.
Ecosystem: integration with a mobile application and a single client profile.
Service standards: a single point of interaction for the buyer, regardless of who is the direct seller of the product.
Current status and next steps
The team is currently preparing the first working version of the product — MVP 1.0. The company has already formed business requirements, a financial model, and evaluated potential technical partners. In parallel, work is ongoing on the catalog, infrastructure, and rules for attracting merchants.
In the future, VARUS.UA plans to expand the circle of partners by offering them integration with its own logistics and warehouse infrastructure. For the network, this direction should become one of the main drivers of growth, as it will allow to increase the supply of goods without significant costs for expanding physical warehouses and stores.
