According to the publication, the surveyed companies are willing to spend from $5,000 per month to 5% of annual revenue on tokens and subscriptions.
IT service company SPD Technology spends up to $75,000 per month on AI: three-quarters of this amount is tokens and licenses, and the rest is an investment in R&D and internal AI products.
At the same time, the final amount, according to the head of the engineering productivity department, Maksym Yevsyukov, fluctuates every month depending on the intensity of the tasks.
Meanwhile, according to Headway Inc.'s head of operations, Oleksandr Yaroshenko, the company spends up to 5% of its revenue per year on artificial intelligence, which could be about $8 million.
Monthly spending on AI tokens at the Internet marketing agency Netpeak, part of the Fractal group, has increased 16-fold, to $5,000, according to the company’s CEO and partner, Dmytro Sklyar.
However, this amount does not include subscriptions to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Midjourney. «It’s not about the increase in the price of services, but about the degree of integration of AI into the work,» adds Sklyar.
Uklon’s budget in 2026 for implementing AI to automate processes increased by 60% year-on-year, claims STO Oleksandr Chumak, but does not disclose absolute figures.
Service provider Sigma Software has increased spending on AI 4.6 times since the beginning of 2026, but also does not disclose the exact amounts.
Interestingly, the highest costs per user are among the company’s management. «Management uses AI tools to work with large amounts of information, prepare decisions, communicate, and analyze,» the press service said in response to a request from journalists.
As dev.ua wrote, experts predict that by 2028, AI coding costs will exceed developer salaries.
