Without fake enthusiasm. What career experts advise skeptics to say about AI in interviews
More and more companies are integrating artificial intelligence into their daily work processes and asking candidates about their experience with these tools during interviews. Even if job seekers are not enthusiastic about new technologies or are skeptical about them, hiring experts recommend preparing thoughtful and honest answers.
More and more companies are integrating artificial intelligence into their daily work processes and asking candidates about their experience with these tools during interviews. Even if job seekers are not enthusiastic about new technologies or are skeptical about them, hiring experts recommend preparing thoughtful and honest answers.
This is reported by Business Insider based on surveys and comments from career experts. According to Gallup, the share of workers in the United States who use AI at work has increased from 21% in the second quarter of 2023 to 50% in the first quarter of 2026. In this regard, recruiters are increasingly seeking to understand how candidates solve tasks using algorithms.
Karim Osman, vice president of staffing company Robert Half, notes that employers are looking for people who are able to adapt and optimize business processes, but at the same time do not rely entirely on AI.
Monster Careers Expert Vicki Salemi advises candidates who have little experience with AI tools or have reservations about using them to be honest and concise. If your lack of experience is due to the specifics of your previous role, it’s worth explaining this directly and asking the recruiter how their team uses the technology.
At the same time, HR consultant Josh Bersin warns against openly opposing AI during an interview. According to him, a categorical rejection of the technology can deprive a job seeker of a chance at a position, since most organizations are themselves in a state of experimentation.
Тест dev.ua
