The main feature of the project is that the poker combination collected by the player directly determines the strength of the attack during the battle: the better the hand, the stronger the blow to the opponent.
The developer announced the game’s launch on the GamedeDOU forum. According to him, the project combines classic video poker mechanics with elements of rogue-like combat, but completely abandons casino and real-money gambling models.
«I always liked the mechanics of video poker, but I never liked casino games and the focus on money, so I created a game about poker battles,» explained Oleksandr Ronzhyn.
Void Poker 1992 will feature seven characters and classic rogue-like gameplay. The developer has also emphasized an ethical approach to content creation: the game will feature no AI-generated graphics, no advertising, and no microtransactions. The project will be monetized using a one-time purchase of the full version through an in-app purchase.
The release is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, onthe App Store .
