All weapons manufactured in Ukraine will have a single common brand "Zbroya". What is the goal of the project?

The name of the ecosystem was first used by the President of Ukraine during a presentation of the achievements of Ukrainian defense production to foreign leaders and European commissioners who arrived in Kyiv on February 24. This was reported by «Militarnyi».

The purpose of the Zbroya brand is to give a common name to all weapons and the defense industry in general.

«The Ukrainian defense industry is modern, flexible, and fast, responds to the challenges of war and is constantly improving. Ukraine is the flagship of the free world in the production of the latest weapons,» the project website states. Its development is still ongoing, and it will eventually have a number of digital services for manufacturers, provide the necessary information, and provide access to services related to preferential lending, leasing, employee booking, and a number of other tools.

It is noted that Ukrainian weapons production has increased 35 times in the 3 years of the full-scale invasion. The Ministry of Strategic Industry and Trade says that most of the growth in Ukrainian GDP already comes from the activities of the defense-industrial complex.

At the first stage, the developed brand should help the country attract funds from allies to the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex for the production of weapons according to the «Danish model» and the creation of joint defense enterprises.

«In addition to munitions manufacturers, a huge number of scientific institutions, defense accelerators, teams of Military-tech specialists, etc. are involved in the process of creating weapons. Our idea is to unite them all under a single brand Zbroya, understandable to every Ukrainian and recognizable outside our country», — said Anna Hvozdiar, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

The ministry wants to see the new brand logos on all weapons produced in Ukraine. It can be freely used by both state and private sector manufacturers.
