According to the National Police, the perpetrator of today’s terrorist attack in Bucha is a 21-year-old local resident who was recruited online in a computer game.

As reported by the Kyiv Region Police Communications Department, the suspect was detained as a result of joint operational measures with the SBU.

Law enforcement officers remind that today at 05:35 a.m. a report was received from a resident of Bucha about an explosion on one of the streets, as a result of which the windows and facade of her house were damaged. After law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, another explosion occurred, as a result of which two police officers were injured.

«Within a few hours, the police detained the 21-year-old perpetrator of the crime. According to him, he met the unknown person through a computer game. After some time, the new acquaintance began to blackmail the young man by saying that he knew where his mother was and that he was allegedly monitoring her from a drone, so in order for her to stay alive, he needed to plant an explosive device,» the perpetrator’s motives were recounted in the National Police.

In turn, as dev.ua wrote, a 40-year-old resident of Berdychiv was reported on suspicion of providing IT services to businesses from the Russian Federation and legalizing income.

Meanwhile, in the Odessa region, a serviceman was detained on suspicion of selling drones and other equipment from military storage for UAH 5.5 million.
