Ukrainian developer under the nicknameu/neketguy is creating a game called Vyrii, in which players will have to control attack drones and attack Russian military targets. Among the game’s targets are warehouses and Wildberries trucks.
The author first announced the development about a week ago on Reddit in the r/Ukraine community. The post with the first video of the game garnered positive reviews. Users also compared Vyrii to Desert Strike, a 1992 game where the player piloted an Apache attack helicopter and destroyed enemy targets.
In the first gameplay demonstration, a drone must fly to a target through the Russian air defense zone. The player controls the drone, dodging fire and trying to deliver ammunition to a designated target.
In another video, the developer showed a mission involving Wildberries warehouses. According to the game’s concept, to destroy a target, you need to fly several drones through Russian air defenses and land enough strikes to destroy the facility.
The developer attributes his choice of Wildberries to the fact that the company operates in Russia and, according to him, supplies equipment used to produce Russian drones.
The release date for Vyrii is currently unknown . The developer has launched a separate newsletter, through which it promises to announce the game’s release.
