According to the IT expert, the problem for most people is not the lack of clothes, but the difficulty of choosing among many options.
“It would seem that the more things, the easier it is to find something to wear. In practice, it’s the opposite: the more clothes you have, the longer you stand in front of an open closet and can’t decide what to take. Most of the time in the morning is spent not on style or taste, but on the banal “what fits and is clean”,” notes Artem Pelevin in LinekdIn.
The concept of WardrobeFit is as simple as possible: the user enters the parameters of their clothes and their current physical measurements (chest, waist, hips, etc.) once. The application automatically sorts the entire wardrobe into three categories: ready-to-wear items, items that fit in size (but need washing), and those that currently do not fit in size.
"The solution I made is very simple: you enter the measurements of your clothes once - and the application itself shows what you can actually wear right now, taking into account the state of the laundry. It's not just about fashion and style. It's about removing one extra small problem from the morning that imperceptibly eats up time and mood. Gatherings in the morning should take a minute, and free time can be spent on a cup of coffee," the developer emphasizes.
In the first week after the announcement, Artem collected the first user feedback and significantly expanded the application's functionality.
Among the key innovations:
the application offers a palette directly from the photo of the item;
one action simultaneously fixes the wear counter and transfers the item to the washing category;
the system independently forms sets of clean clothes that are suitable in size and color;
warns in advance if measurements are at the limit of the range;
Added a widget for the smartphone home screen, search, soft archive of things, weekly reminders to update measurements and the ability to transfer your wardrobe to other users in one file.
The application supports metric and imperial measurement systems, dark and light themes, and is localized into 103 languages with automatic adaptation to device settings.
