“We are creating a new culture of interaction with machines.” Ukrainian dentist created a startup that combines robots and AI

Ukrainian startup VUZOLL has taken on the digitalization of the service sector, creating intelligent robot assistants capable of replacing reception and automating routine business processes. This product is the first in Ukraine to combine artificial intelligence, robotics and business process automation. We tell you what VUZOLL robot assistants can do.

About the startup creator

The founder of VUZOLL is Roman Niskhodovskiy, a dentist from Kyiv. He also founded Niskhodovskiy Clinic. Roman Niskhodovskiy graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University and has over 12 years of practical experience in the field of medicine.

During this time, Roman realized that modern medicine requires not only professional doctors, but also modern technologies that help create a better quality communication service with the patient. It was this understanding that led him to the path of combining AI, robotics, and medicine.

Roman Nishodovsky, founder of VUZOLL Robotics
We don't just build robots - we create a new culture of human-machine interaction. Our robot can meet customers, recognize faces, speak natural language, provide advice, record in CRM, and even respond to emotions.

How the startup idea was born

The idea for the VUZOLL startup was born directly at Roman's clinic. The founder observed that administrators physically did not have time to respond to patients' requests promptly, and doctors could not constantly maintain contact.

Niskhodovsky sought to create an intelligent assistant that would help both the doctor and the patient provide fast, accurate, and humane communication. This need for digitalization of the service led to the emergence of VUZOLL Robotics.

I wanted to create a smart assistant that would help both the doctor and the patient — quickly, accurately, and humanely.

What is VUZOLL and how does it work?

VUZOLL creates versatile robot assistants that can be adapted for use in a wide range of service businesses, including clinics, beauty salons, hotels, educational institutions, showrooms, and retail spaces.

As Roman notes, the VUZOLL robot is not just a "talking robot," but an intelligent employee whose goal is to reduce the workload on staff and improve the level of service.

We combined a large language model, computer vision, motion system, CRM integration, and voice interface — all in one device.

The robot performs routine administrative tasks without errors or delays, and also collects feedback and analyzes data to improve the service.

The team has already created a second prototype of the robot, which is 120 cm tall. This version is more stable and mobile compared to the first prototype (50 cm). The robot can work autonomously for up to six hours and has an improved facial expression and voice synchronization system. The robot is already successfully working in Roman's clinic, where the robot greets patients and helps with appointments.

In addition to the physical robot, VUZOLL also offers virtual AI assistants that can integrate on the website and in popular messengers such as Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.

The assistant works 24/7 and is capable of processing up to 10,000 requests per second. As stated on the company's website , the AI assistant supports 65 languages and understands and interprets voice messages with high accuracy.

VUZOLL Robotics claims that the virtual assistant provides advice, makes appointments, provides information about services, and adjusts to the company's communication style.

Funding and team

As of now, about $500,000 has been invested in the VUZOLL startup, mostly from the founder's own funds. The project team consists of seven specialists, including engineers, programmers, 3D designers, marketers, and electronics engineers.

Roman Niskhodovsky told dev.ua that at the beginning of the startup's creation, he was looking for enthusiasts in the robotics and AI fields. He found a partner who was responsible for the technical component, and the rest of the specialists were added to the project gradually.

We are collaborating with the State University of Telecommunications, where we are opening the VUZOLL Robotics Lab — a research and development laboratory for students who will help test and improve robots.

The team is currently actively expanding and is focused on finding an electronics engineer, a ROS specialist, and a project manager.

The price of one physical robot assistant for customers is $5,500. To use the robot's functions, you need to subscribe, the cost of which is $150. This includes AI module updates, CRM integration, and technical support.

AI assistants have flexible pricing packages. Starter (500 UAH/month), Standard (3000 UAH/month) and Business (10,000 UAH/month), which differ in the message limit (from 500 to 10,000) and the number of connected channels.

Future plans

The startup is currently preparing certification of the second robot prototype for mass production.

In the coming months, we plan to launch a batch of 10–30 robots, scale the laboratory, and participate in international exhibitions.

The team is preparing to deploy 10 robots at partner businesses to test the machines. Roman Niskhodovsky noted that his company is open to partnerships with like-minded people in the field of robotics and AI to improve the product.

VUZOLL plans to enter European markets, including Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic, as well as the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia). VUZOLL's ultimate goal is to become a world-class brand that will prove that Ukrainian innovations can change the future of the service.
