Wargaming will release World of Tanks: HEAT, a new tactical shooter powered by its own engine, for free. When and where will it be available to play?
This is not an update to World of Tanks, but a separate new game — built from the ground up, with a different pace of combat, a hero-agent system, and support for PC, consoles, and Steam Deck. Ukrainian localization — on the day of release.

World of Tanks: HEAT is a standalone free-to-play tactical shooter from Wargaming, released on May 26, 2026. The action takes place in an alternative timeline after World War II: specialized vehicles, atypical tactics, and a much faster pace compared to the classic WoT.
Instead of the usual tank system, there are eight Agents in three combat roles: Defender, Assault, and Sniper.
Each player commands two vehicles, each adapted to their role. At the start: 15 vehicles with full module customization, eight maps and four PvP modes — Hardpoint, Control, Confirm Kill and Conquest. Battles — 10 vs. 10.
The game is built on Wargaming’s new proprietary engine, developed entirely in-house. It provides modern visuals and stable operation on a wide range of hardware, including Steam Deck.
HEAT will be available on PC (Wargaming Game Center and Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. Full cross-platform play and cross-progression between all platforms are supported.
