FounderTAF Industries Oleksandr Yakovenko announced the search for several top managers at once for a company that imports components for the Ukrainian defense industry. Candidates are promised a salary of $7,000–10,000 «clean» per month.
Yakovenko notes that the company is an importer of components for the Ukrainian defense industry and works with almost the entire market — from FPV drone manufacturers to large defense holdings. It has direct contracts with Chinese manufacturers and provides a full supply cycle — from component sourcing and procurement to logistics, warehousing, and distribution in Ukraine.
According to the entrepreneur, the current business turnover is $50–70 million per month, and within the next six months the company plans to increase it to over $100 million per month.
«This is a company on which the operational security of dozens of defense-tech manufacturers depends. A week’s delay in delivery is a delay in a batch of drones to the front. This is not an abstract value. This is a daily responsibility,» he emphasized.
For the position of Chief Supply Chain Officer, the company is looking for a candidate with experience in scaling international logistics, maritime transportation from Asia, customs clearance, working with dual-use goods, and sanctions restrictions.
The Commercial Director is expected to have experience in building long-term B2B relationships with manufacturers and negotiating with executives of large industrial companies.
Yakovenko calls the Head of Procurement a key role. The future head of the department must work directly with Chinese and European factories, negotiate exclusive contracts, control prices and product quality, and quickly find alternative suppliers in the event of a supply disruption.
«This job is not for everyone. Not for those who want stability — we have the pace of war. Not for those who want perfect processes — we build them. Not for those who want to sit quietly in the office — we have daily contact with Chinese factories, Ukrainian manufacturers and the reality of the front,» the founder of TAF Industries summed up.
In recent days, Oleksandr Yakovenko has been actively commenting on personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense after the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov. He stated that it was during Fedorov’s time that Ukraine managed to build a system where defense contracts were awarded to manufacturers based on the effectiveness of their developments, rather than personal connections.
«He’s done more than most people do in ten years.» DefenceTech industry reacts to Mikhail Fedorov’s resignation: what manufacturers are afraid of losing
