Ukrainian Yalantis opens about 20 vacancies every month and hires fewer young IT-specialist. What is the reason?

Rudenko reported this in an interview with the DOU publication. He noted that currently Yalantis is not one company, but a group of businesses, which includes:

• Yalantis (end-to-end IoT, software, hardware, and AI development);
• SHERP (ecosystem for operational management of IT companies: ERP, CEP, HR, and finance);
• PROTAGONIST (cybersecurity);
• An unknown company that is still in stealth mode.

Yalantis created the product company SHERP in November last year. Its first development was an all-in-one solution for managing the operational activities of IT companies within a single system.

According to Denis Rudenko, the group of companies currently employs 431 people. In 2025, Yalantis will open an average of 20 vacancies per month.

«The company is growing faster than the market, so the demand for new specialists remains consistently high. We are constantly in demand for Embedded engineers, Rust developers, and architects with experience in creating IoT solutions. In addition, due to changes in strategic focus, we are actively looking for PCB designers,» said the head of Yalantis.

He noted that such specialists are the hardest to find, as there are few of them on the market, and a significant portion of them work for miltech. Therefore, the company is developing internal training programs.

«We are less active in hiring junior specialists than we would like. Working with IoT projects, a large number of Fix Price models, and tight deadlines requires more experienced senior specialists. We used to have our own schools for training new specialists all the time, and I hope that we will be able to return to hiring juniors,» Rudenko noted.

He added that recruitment is being affected by Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, which is provoking mobilization and relocation of IT specialists. However, Yalantis has already «adapted and learned to work with it.»
