In the fall, the teams will travel to the United States, where they will work on scaling the business, entering the American market, and attracting investment.
As dev.ua reported, the organizers of YEP Accelerator have already received soft commitments for $3 million in potential investments from partner funds and are continuing to form a pool of investors.
The first cohort included the following Ukrainian startups:
Almexoft is a no-code platform for automating document flow and business processes;
Obriy is a SURE platform that takes on the role of customer support using autonomous AI agents;
Unpitch is a solution that models your ideal customer's reaction to your message before you send it;
Elomia is a clinically validated AI for mental health delivered via API;
Briefkits is a multimodal AI that analyzes video ads in Meta Ads and finds the moment when the viewer loses attention;
TaskRoom is an AI receptionist for franchise chains that answers calls and messages and books appointments.
JetBeep — autonomous battery-powered smart lockers that simplify last-mile parcel delivery. The team secured a spot in the batch after winning the Ukrainian final of the Startup World Cup.
“All the startups we worked with in the first stage of the program showed themselves to be very strong. But our goal is more specific: so that in October they can confidently pitch to seed investors in the States. Why is this important? Because our task is to return from San Francisco not just with experience, but with real investment deals. And for this, startups need to have time to reach the point of development that makes them investment ready by mid-October,” comments Andrey Zaikin, CEO and founder of YEP Accelerator.
The program will kick off with a networking session in Washington and Maryland, organized by YEP in partnership with the Emerging Technology Center at Baltimore Development Corporation, providing startups with an opportunity to connect with investors and partners on the East Coast of the United States. After that, the startups will travel to San Francisco.
A joint co-living session has been organized for participants, which will allow founders to fully focus on business development, meetings, and integration into the local ecosystem.
Over the course of five weeks, startups will participate in dozens of meetings with customers, investors, and partners, as well as attend key ecosystem events, including SF Tech Week, TechCrunch Disrupt, and OneWay Summit.
The program will culminate with Demo Day on October 20 at The SVB Experience Center, an innovative event space created by Silicon Valley Bank in downtown San Francisco.
During the final presentation, startups will present their solutions to international venture capital funds and business angels.
The YEP acceleration is implemented with the assistance of the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund, which invests in competitive economies to create strong, prosperous, and secure business opportunities.
The implementation of the program and the development of YEP's acceleration capacity are supported by the EBRD within the framework of the Star Venture program in Ukraine, financed by Switzerland through the EBRD Small Business Facility (donors of the Fund: Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, TaiwanBusiness - EBRD Technical Cooperation Fund, the United Kingdom and the United States of America).
