The European Union is launching a funding program totaling €20 million to support startups and SMEs in the technology sector.
As reported by EIT Community Hub Ukraine, the EU has launched a funding program to support technology startups. Ukrainian startups will be able to receive grants ranging from €300,000 to €500,000 to bring their technologies to the market entry stage (from TRL 4 to TRL 6–7).
The program aims to accelerate the development of technologies in the following areas:
As well as other areas that are strategically important for the economy and security of Ukraine.
The initiative is a logical continuation of the EU's efforts to strengthen the resilience of the Ukrainian innovation sector, integrate Ukrainian companies into the European business ecosystem, and attract private investment in technological developments.
"This is a unique opportunity for Ukrainian startups and SMEs and a springboard to even greater European funding. Thank you to the EIC for supporting the Ukrainian ecosystem," says Igor Markevych, EIT Community Officer Ukraine.
Applications will be accepted starting on August 12, 2025 and will continue until November 26, 2025.
