In March, the National Competition INFOMATRIX UKRAINE 2026 was held, organized by the National University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" in cooperation with the Kyiv Small Academy of Sciences for Student Youth.
According to the results of the national selection, 81 projects were selected, prepared by 174 participants from over 30 Ukrainian educational institutions.
The competition is held in three areas: computer projects, robotics, and hackathons, and also includes the following categories: "Mechatronics", "Digital Storytelling", "CreAIthon", and "Robot Competition".
This year, for the first time, 10 Ukrainian participants from abroad, selected as part of the qualifying final in Munich, Germany, took part.
The world finals were held in the Romanian capital on May 15–16, and the following day, a grand award ceremony was held. Ukrainian youth won 59 medals and 19 cash prizes totaling 7,900 euros:
platinum medals — 9;
gold medals — 13;
silver medals — 18;
bronze medals — 19.
INFOMATRIX is a prestigious international competition of computer projects, robotics, and hackathons, created to unite talented young people who are passionate about IT technologies.
In Ukraine, a national qualifying round (Infomatrix Ukraine) is held every year, the winners of which have the opportunity to represent the country at the world finals.
