According to Nina Yuzhanina, member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction and member of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, this is a consequence of the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 894 dated July 29, 2022, according to which from January 1, 2025, all entrepreneurs in in all settlements, it is necessary to ensure the possibility of making cashless payments (except for simplified persons of the 1st group, away trade and those who trade in the area of military (combat) operations).
She emphasized that the tax office does not forget to remind about strict compliance with these requirements, and that it is impossible to make cashless payments without the Internet.
«No more than 60-65% of settlements have access to the fixed Internet (according to the 2023 report of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Field of Electronic Communications). At the same time, the tax office squeezes providers who provided Internet access services in rural areas from the simplified system,» Yuzhanina said .
According to her, it is urgent to make changes to the said resolution in order not to expose entrepreneurs to fines, and also to finally deal with the work of providers in rural areas and do everything possible to ensure that the Internet remains where it was.
