«At the same time, the vast majority of drones that are in the arsenal of our soldiers are domestically produced,» said Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, quoted by the Ministry of Defense press service.
At the same time, 2.4 million FPV drones were delivered to the military through the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense, and most of them were UAV deliveries under direct contracts with manufacturers.
«The military received another 200,000 UAVs through the DOT-Chain Defence IT system, which was launched at the end of July,» the ministry noted.
In addition, it is reported that almost 15,000 IRCs were delivered to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which also exceeds the figures of last year by several times.
As dev.ua reported, in 2024 the government invested over UAH 39 billion in weapons production, thanks to which the capacity of the domestic defense industry increased sixfold.
It was also reported that over 96% of the drones used by the Ukrainian army are domestically produced.
