"I almost fell off my chair... I was speechless..." HR published a screenshot of an IT worker's resume from Odessa that shocked her. What's the matter?
HR Advisor Viktoriya Zakharova published a screenshot of a candidate’s resume on LinkedIn, which shocked the specialist.
HR Advisor Viktoriya Zakharova published a screenshot of a candidate’s resume on LinkedIn, which shocked the specialist.
«I’m currently actively looking for a .Net developer who doesn’t mind working with Java, because the project has a set of services and needs to use two languages. Or is it a Java developer and is ready to use C#. And here’s what I see. I almost fell off my chair, what do you think? Because I’m speechless…», she wrote.
In his resume, the candidate, who listed Odessa as his location, noted that he ignores requests in Ukrainian.
In the comments to the post, IT activists condemn the candidate for using such a criterion for selecting employers.
Senior Software Engineer Serhiy Limar notes: «For a Java expert, it’s not a problem. But at the same time, it’s a full-stack vacancy, he still has to fiddle with JavaScript and React. He’s a designer, he has to use JavaScript and React. And the cherry on the cake is „I ignore requests in Ukrainian.“ In Odessa, there are no words. Trash, waste and sodomy. The quintessence of the 30s…».
«Because we need even more political correctness, then such impudent people will also appear on TV,» wrote Java developer Yevheniy Popadiuk.
«I’m in shock (could have been if it weren’t for the case two years ago). I talked to the candidate, he said that he lives in Ukraine, in a city that is almost daily shelled by the Russian Federation and at the same time works for the Russian Federation. He is not ready to communicate in Ukrainian. As a result, time, nerves and space in my memory were wasted. So if it wasn’t for that, it’s better to let them warn you from the shore than to waste time on such candidates,» said Head of Recruiting Department Tanya Demidovych.
