This was reported by People’s Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee Yaroslav Zheleznyak. Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance recommended adopting in the second reading draft law No. 9256-d, which aims to strengthen the fight against gambling addiction.
One of the main changes in the draft law will be the division of powers of the KRAIL between the relevant ministry and a newly created body without collegial status.
Bill No. 9256-d also prohibits advertising of gambling, with some exceptions. In addition, the participation of military personnel, volunteers, and popular figures in advertising is prohibited, as well as the use of war-related themes. Sponsorship, except for sponsorship in sports, is also prohibited.

It quickly collected the 25,000 signatures necessary for consideration. On April 15, Pavlo Petrichenko gave his life defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion near Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the head of the SBU, the State Special Communications Service, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council to collect analytics on online casinos and their impact on part of society.
