The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision to simplify the procurement of pickup trucks and other used vehicles by military units.
This decision will reduce bureaucracy in the military and strengthen defense capabilities, the Ministry of Defense says .
Thus, according to the changes, military units will be able to purchase used vehicles (pickups, ATVs, motorcycles) using a simplified procedure.
The price will be determined based on an expert opinion or property valuation report establishing the approximate market value.
In addition, the Government has approved changes that simplify the procedure for writing off military property. This will reduce the bureaucratic burden on combat units, the military department adds.
"The speed of decision-making directly affects the combat capability of the army, and these changes will help commanders more quickly provide units with everything they need," notes the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
From now on, commanders will be able to independently approve single acts of write-off if the value of the property does not exceed UAH 1.7 million. The terms of write-off will also be significantly reduced. The decision regulates the specifics of writing off drones, ammunition and their components.
The changes are aimed at accelerating the renewal of the material and technical base, and making property management processes more flexible and efficient.
