His goal is to raise over $86,000 to manufacture and scale up the buggy. There are 54 days left until the campaign ends.
«We are a team from Lviv, Ukraine, and we build off-road buggies. We call them MAMAY in honor of the legendary Ukrainian folk hero-Cossack, whose main features were the desire for freedom and resistance to oppression. In fact, we build not only buggies — our team has experience in implementing more than 20 projects in the automotive industry. These were buses, electric cars, light trucks, trailers, bodies for sports cars and much more. At first it was just a dream. At the factory, we build „Mamay“ in small batches, but there are more possibilities,» the team noted in the project description.
MAMAY is a lightweight four-wheeled off-road vehicle designed and manufactured primarily for use in sports and entertainment. «We are constantly working on improving the design and producing various modifications of the vehicle depending on the needs,» the inventors note.
The vehicle is designed for use in combat conditions. The Mamai can carry up to four people, has mounting points for a machine gun and a location for two Javelins.
As for the technical parameters, the suspension travel in the buggy is 320 mm, and the ground clearance is 400 mm. The buggy can also have an awning and folding glass. The main purpose of this tactical buggy is reconnaissance, ammunition delivery, fire support, evacuation of the wounded, etc.
The car has a place to mount a machine gun and two Javelins. A trunk for ammunition and a mortar, there is a stretcher mount for evacuating wounded soldiers. The car is covered with a tarpaulin, a winch and a ballistic plastic windshield between the driver and the machine gunner are provided.
There is also a searchlight for the machine gunner on the side. The buggy will ride on 15-16 inch wheels, will have a 45 liter fuel tank, and swamp ramps. «The main option and feature of the car is a hydraulic handbrake on the front wheels, which allows you to turn the car by hooking the front axle for the convenience of hunting for katsaps,» said Kraynik.
