According to the Downdetector service, as of 11:30, the problem has not been resolved.
UPD. The Mastercard dev.ua press service confirmed the problem. «Today, for a certain period of time, some transactions with Mastercard cards were rejected. The situation has already been resolved, and all systems are operating normally,» the company reported.
Social media users are complaining about payment problems. Payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay are also not going through. ATMs are also malfunctioning, not dispensing cash or accepting cards for transactions. However, it is possible to transfer money via the electronic application.
In particular, PrivatBank reported difficulties in carrying out some transactions.
«Currently, there may be difficulties during some operations. Specialists are already working on eliminating the difficulties, we apologize for the temporary inconvenience!» the financial institution notes.
Monobank support noted that they are only fixing problems with MasterCard.
«Currently, we are aware of difficulties in the operation of the Mastercard payment system. Because of this, there are problems with transfers, cancellation of transactions, and payments with cards of this payment system. Unfortunately, difficulties occur in many banks,» Mono noted.
UPD. In response to a request from Economic Truth, the VISA payment system stated that it has not recorded any problems with the transactions of its bank cards.
«In connection with the dissemination of information in the media about disruptions in cashless payments, we inform you that there are no problems in processing payments on the Visa side.
«VISA’s capabilities process transactions of Ukrainian consumers seamlessly and in full,» the company noted.
There are also reports that a failure occurred at the VISA and Mastercard level not only in Ukraine and Georgia, but also in other countries.
