Here’s what you need to do to participate.
About GCIP
GCIP is a global clean technology innovation program implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in 17 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. In Ukraine, the second phase of the program is being implemented from 2025 by the public organization Greencubator, which has been developing an ecosystem of sustainable entrepreneurship and a green economy for 16 years.
About the program
Finalists of the GCIP Ukraine 2025 competition will be able to participate in a free acceleration program for «green» businesses.
Program participants will be able to receive:
training for 3 months;
mentoring from professional experts on entering new markets, building a business strategy and finding investors, and post-acceleration support;
grants of up to $20,000 for the most successful teams.
In addition, Greencubator holds weekly group consultations on participating in the program for all interested parties.
Who can participate?
Ukrainian companies that offer innovative solutions in the following areas can become participants in the GCIP Ukraine 2025 acceleration:
Energy efficiency.
Renewable energy sources.
Waste recycling.
Conservation of water resources.
Environmentally friendly construction.
Ecological transport.
Modern materials and chemicals.
Utilities or non-profit public organizations cannot participate in the program.
How to participate
To participate in the competition, companies must meet the following criteria, including:
Startups, small and medium businesses.
Availability of a competent, well-established team.
At least one co-founder is a citizen of Ukraine.
Availability of a finished product and first customers.
Willingness to actively participate in all accelerator sessions.
Basic English proficiency (not lower than B2).
Additional information
The grant amount can be up to $20,000 for businesses working on climate-friendly technologies and reducing CO₂ emissions.
Deadline: applications are accepted until June 1, inclusive.
