«I am open to the following formula: please export everything to our front, and after that to any of the partner countries. But the priority is this: the countries are the largest donors, the countries that constantly help us during the war with money, missiles, and political support,» Zelensky said.
The president paid special attention to the successes in creating a fleet of naval drones. He acknowledged that this breakthrough was made possible thanks to the technological support of countries with historically strong fleets — Great Britain, Norway and the Netherlands. Now Ukraine is transforming this experience into comprehensive solutions that combine UAVs, air defense, electronic warfare and reconnaissance.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is currently investing about $30 billion in the defense sector. This budget is mainly funded by international aid, but the production capacities of Ukrainian enterprises are already ready to produce twice as much.
He pointed out that Ukraine has about 200 powerful defense companies, 30 of which are among the world’s top. They specialize in the production of drones, artillery, armored vehicles, and ground robotic complexes (GRC).
The President also reported that Ukraine, after the US and Israeli attack on Iran, began sharing expertise with partners in the Middle East.
«We immediately sent teams to four countries, each with over 50 people,» Zelensky said. He added that Ukrainian specialists helped adapt defense systems to local threats.
According to him, Ukraine is focusing on security partnerships at the G2G (government-to-government) level. On the basis of framework intergovernmental agreements, private companies will enter the country for direct negotiations. The President emphasized that the task of the state is to maintain its reputation and create conditions for healthy competition, where the customer will choose the best solutions.
«We must expect that the future economy of Ukraine is not only agriculture. We have built a strong defense industry. Made in Ukraine is a valuable brand today,» said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
