Ukraine is ready to provide African countries with technologies in the field of security, as well as share experience in countering Russian disinformation and pressure, in particular, from fighters of the private military company "Wagner".
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at the third Grain from Ukraine International Conference on Food Security.
He believes that the security technologies developed and used in Ukraine, such as air and sea drones, should be of interest to African countries.
"There is no need to wait for war. Any aggressors who are even mentally prepared for occupation or unfriendly steps to another country will be stopped by the fact that you have such useful technologies," Zelensky said.
According to Zelenskyi, Ukraine can also help in the fight against disinformation and cyber defense, as it has faced thousands of cyber attacks, in particular on the banking system and communications. At the same time, the head of state noted that it will not be possible to fight disinformation simply from the territory of Ukraine.
"We must be present in you, and your countries, your leaders must be open to this. We are ready to work against Russian disinformation. Any misinformation. Just give the African society the truth, and let them choose for themselves which side they are on, because they are free people," the president said.
According to Zelenskyi, African countries will have "many problems" due to Russian influence on the continent and markets. Taking into account the experience of Ukraine, he urged to prioritize issues of security and independence, and not benefits from cheaper resources, even in the face of economic problems.
Among other areas of cooperation that Kyiv is ready for: guaranteeing food security, education, mining, digitalization and the "Action" application.
