331 people's deputies of Ukraine today voted for bill No. 13533 on the restoration of the powers of the NABU and the SAPO. Nine deputies did not vote. Immediately after the vote, the law was signed by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Stefanchuk, after which it was sent to the president for signature. On the occasion of the signing, Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a video address in which he thanked the deputies for supporting his own bill.
"As soon as I sign the document, the text will be published immediately. These are guarantees of the normal, independent work of anti-corruption bodies, all law enforcement agencies of our state. The decision is correct. Three hundred and thirty-one deputies. Exactly as needed, as a basis and in general. It is very important that the state listens to public opinion. Ukraine is a democracy - there is absolutely no doubt about it. Government officials will also immediately inform Ukraine's partners about this law," Zelenskyy said.
