Subscription is the easiest way to financially support streamers on Twitch. By subscribing, the viewer gets access to the channel’s extended functionality: the ability to watch the broadcast without ads, additional exclusive emotes, a special subscriber badge, access to a closed chat, and broadcast recordings. Different streamers may have a different set of bonuses. In addition, bonuses may vary depending on the «level» of subscription, etc.
For Ukrainian viewers, the basic Twitch subscription costs UAH 43.19/month. This is the most popular subscription, accounting for over 95% of all subscriptions within the language. The rest are higher-level subscriptions or, for example, Prime subscriptions, which are mostly used by viewers from the US.

In total, in 2025, viewers of Ukrainian-language channels spent almost UAH 30 million on subscriptions. In the first two quarters of the year, subscription costs amounted to about UAH 5.8–5.9 million, and by the end of the year this figure had increased to almost UAH 10 million. We are talking about the 500 most popular Ukrainian-language channels, whose viewers may live not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries.
How much do top Ukrainian-speaking Twitch streamers earn?
Twitch streamers have many ways to monetize their channels, from sponsored ad integrations to viewer donations. The only type of revenue that can be accurately calculated is that which comes from subscriptions.
At the same time, streamers' income from subscriptions is not equal to how much money their viewers spend on subscriptions. Part of the money from the subscription cost is taken by the Twitch platform itself, and the streamer receives from 50% to 70% of this amount. That is, if a viewer bought a subscription to a channel for 43.19 UAH, then the streamer of this channel will receive from 21.6 UAH to 30.2 UAH.

The amount depends on the status: a regular streamer receives only half of the money for a subscription, while a platform partner streamer has a larger share of the sale.
In January 2026, the most successful Ukrainian-speaking Twitch streamers by the number of paid subscriptions earned from UAH 55,000 to UAH 78,000. Practical analysis shows that now only the top Ukrainian-speaking streamers of the platform earn more than $1,000 per month from subscriptions.
At the same time, for many streamers, subscriptions are not the main source of income — often thanks to donations and advertising contracts, they manage to earn even more, but these numbers are difficult to analyze, since they are mostly not public.
