Recall that on July 22, Ukrainian mobile operators launched a 5G network in Kyiv in the very center of the capital - on the stretch from Independence Square to Bessarabskaya Square. Coverage was also expanded through additional points installed by operators.
In particular, Vodafone's 5G coverage in Kyiv covers all administrative districts of the capital: Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnyanskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Svyatoshynskyi, Solomyanskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
The 5G network in Kyiv operates on equipment from the European manufacturer Nokia.
According to network statistics, the average 5G speed received by subscribers was 600 Mbps, and the maximum recorded speed at the base station in real conditions under load reached almost 2 Gbps.
