The 20th regiment of unmanned systems "K2" forms a new battalion and recruits IT-guys. Who are they looking for and what needs to be done

The regiment invites Ukrainians, experts in network administration, electrical installation and embedded, DOU writes, referring to a message from the «K-2» Battalion. You can join either directly through mobilization or through transfer from other units. They even take SZCH who plan to return.

Specialists are offered mobilization until the end of martial law or service under a contract and financial support from UAH 20,000 to 120,000 depending on the performance of combat tasks and orders.

Currently, the division has 24 vacancies, 11 of which are related to technology in some way, including:

Specialist of the cryptographic information protection group

Responsibilities

• development, implementation and improvement of the information protection system
• guaranteeing the safety of automated systems
• identification of potential threats and vulnerabilities of the system, development and implementation of solutions for their elimination
• carrying out procedures for restoring the operation of damaged programs and files, media, devices and eliminating malicious programs (files, devices, media)

Requirements

• higher education in cyber security and information protection
• understanding of modern threats and appropriate security measures
• skills of analysis and detection of system vulnerabilities
• work experience in the specialty will be an advantage

Information Protection Service Officer

Responsibilities

• implementation of measures to protect information and cyber protection in automated systems, ensuring the completeness and quality of implementation of organizational and technical measures (antivirus software, other software of the complex of protection tools and systems for detecting and countering cyber threats in the AS)
• checking the rules and instructions for processing information adopted by the AC for compliance with the requirements of regulatory acts on information protection and cyber security, monitoring their implementation
• timely and complete provision of information to AC users about changes in the field of information protection and cyber security that concern them
• organization of the use of qualified electronic trust services in the AC of the military unit
• carrying out control checks of the state of information protection

Requirements

• the presence of an officer’s rank or a higher education to be able to obtain it
• higher education in the field of activity in automated systems
• experience in the field of technical information protection (TII) will be an advantage
• military service experience will be an advantage

Responsibilities

• analysis and detection of electronic signals of enemy systems
• setup, maintenance and operation of EW equipment to suppress or block signals
• radio electronic suppression of enemy UAVs of various types
• prompt detection and countermeasures against other hostile means
• interaction with other units to ensure effective electronic warfare
• assessment of the effectiveness of the application of WB and making adjustments
• maintenance of EW equipment in working condition and its adjustment in accordance with the conditions of the combat mission

Requirements

• secondary special or higher technical education in the field of electronics, radio engineering or communication
• experience with radio electronic equipment or in the field of communication will be an advantage
• understanding of the principles of operation of radio electronic systems and EW devices
• high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a team
• the ability to react quickly and make decisions in stressful situations
• the desire to study and improve one’s knowledge in the field of EB

UAV master

Responsibilities

• preparation of unmanned systems for work
• development and integration of new solutions for effective work
• maintenance and repair of unmanned complexes
• execution of combat tasks as part of the unit, in particular, in the combat zone

Requirements

• practical UAV piloting skills will be an advantage
• understanding of ranges, modulations, principles of radio wave propagation will be an advantage
• the ability to read electronic circuits, practical experience in the repair of radio-electronic equipment will be an advantage
• ability to replace components would be an advantage
• a basic level of understanding of technologies and interest in the principles of operation of unmanned systems
