The Palaye team, the organizer of the event, reported that within the framework of the Ukrainian Games Festival 2025, Ukrainian developers presented 23 new projects. Among them are The Road of Dust and Sorrow , DDoD , Valkyrie Iteration , " Chumaky " and others. The festival also pleased players with 24 new demos, including Aliosso , Floralis and Whispers Among the Poppies . In total, more than 120 demos were available during the event.
The festival helped Ukrainian games attract the attention of a global audience. For example, The Road of Dust and Sorrow collected 30,000 additions to the Steam wishlist, and Valkyrie Iteration — 15,000. The event also saw the release of six new games, including Threads of War, Steampunk Idle Spinner, and Submansion.
As a reminder, dev.ua spoke with the developers of Threads of War, 13-year-old Askold Kostyushko and his father Andriy, a game designer at the Creoteam studio.
As last year, a demo of the game Hollow Home, set during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, was available at the Ukrainian Games Festival 2025. Twigames studio head Valery Minenko told dev.ua that they still don't have a publisher and are developing the game at their own expense.
