«I think if artificial intelligence can improve our lives, why do we have to work five days a week?» Yuan said in an interview with The New York Times.
Eric Yuan predicts that most companies will soon move to a three- or four-day workweek as automation eliminates the need for constant human labor.
For many workers, the development of AI could mean reduced working hours or perhaps complete job loss.
«Every company will support a three- or four-day workweek. I believe it will ultimately free up time for everyone,» Yuan said.
While the Zoom CEO believes AI is bringing positive change, he acknowledged that job losses are inevitable as AI agents replace human workers.
Recall that this summer, the Ukrainian IT company YouScan again switched to a 4-day work week. This format, which first appeared at the company in 2023, has over time become a permanent seasonal trend.
