At the same time, the IT sector, as shown by Opendatabot’s research, was one of those least affected by relocation.
Among the total number of companies relocated in 2025, IT firms account for only 2,5%.
«Overall, businesses moved 12,920 times during this period. This is 11% more than in 2024, but still less than before full-scale,» the study notes.
Companies in the wholesale trade sector relocated the most actively — this applies to as many as 3,798 businesses in this sector.
Interestingly, despite the significant number of relocations, the number of companies increased only in 8 regions, and the largest number of businesses was added in the frontline Kharkiv (+553) and Zaporizhia regions (+419 businesses), in the territories of which active hostilities are taking place.
Instead, as dev.ua wrote, more than half of the defense enterprises that are members of the TSU are planning to relocate abroad or have already done so.
Meanwhile, some IT companies were giving out $1,000 in the winter to relocate their employees to safer places in Ukraine or abroad.
