Ukrainian studio 4A Games, known for the Metro series, has donated a gaming laptop to 78-year-old video game enthusiast Lyudmila Kulakova, who was forced to leave her PC behind during the evacuation of her home in the city of Bilozerske, Donetsk region.

As reported by «Social. Donbass», Kulakova currently lives in a social institution in the Kirovohrad region. 4A Games saw the publication’s report, in which the woman said that she likes to play «online shooters» and decided to help.
«She said that her favorite game from Ukrainian developers was from the Metro series. Ms. Lyudmila had a dream, a gaming laptop. And the developers heard and saw it, were moved and decided to give Ms. Lyudmila such a gift,» said Olga Vladimirova, a representative of the SOS East Foundation, who handed the laptop to the pensioner.
She added that after the report for the 78-year-old gamer, Ukrainians collected donations, with which volunteers will buy headphones, a mouse pad, and other things.
«Oh, this is very good equipment. Especially the Ryzen 9 [processor]. Not everyone has a Ryzen 9,» Lyudmila Kulakova commented on the gift.
Recall that according to previous reports, the next game in the Metro series will take place in a Russian setting and may return players to Moscow. While specific details remain limited, it is known that development began back in 2020, but in 2022 the project was restarted.
In the spring of 2025, 4A Gamesannounced that over 200 developers were already working on the new part in two locations. They are involved in working on two AAA projects — the next part of Metro, and a new unannounced title.

These circumstances are incredibly difficult, the situation remains dangerous and beyond our control, but we are currently in maximum safety, and we want to calm your expectations regarding the disclosure of the name of the next Metro, it will be ready when it is ready,» the developers noted.
