Ukrainian startup Swarmer, which creates drone swarm technology, has received an investment from a new syndicate launched by investor Oleksandr Soroka’s Oppenheimer Acceleration Fund.
The $500,000 investment was the first deal by Oppenheimer Syndicate, DOU reports. It was launched by the Oppenheimer Acceleration fund, part of the international Network VC Group, founded by investor Oleksandr Soroka.
«The most notable ones from our portfolio right now are Swarmer and Bavovna. They are among the leaders, and I’ll explain why: the company already has American and European contracts, and this is critically important. After all, the US is the largest market, and access to it opens up a completely different level of opportunities,» Soroka previously said .
He added that the Network VC fund, which often invests in Ukrainian defense startups, already has about 100 companies in its portfolio. In September, Oleksandr Soroka announced an investment in the Ukrainian company Scopa Industries, which created an engine that can accelerate UAVs to over 500 km/h.
Recall that in early fall, the startup Swarmer raised $15 million in its first major investment round. This investment in a Ukrainian miltech startup was the largest since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion.
