Senior Software Developer Vladyslav Ostafi told how during the interview he conducted, he counted out scammers.

«Last week I conducted an interview and met swindlers. The interview was for Sr Frontend Dev. A young guy connected, pleasant to talk to and quite good, but superficially, could talk about himself and the projects he was working on,» he said .

According to Vladyslav, the candidate confidently answered questions where it was not necessary to give open answers. «The only thing that interested me was that he grimaced every time after his answer. At first I thought maybe there was some noise in the background, everyone has that drill neighbor. Somewhere after 20-30 minutes of our conversation, I heard another voice in the background… I think you understand what kind of voice it was,» the developer shares.

Vladyslav began to ask more open-ended questions to confirm his guesses. «And indeed, there was a „prompter“ nearby who gave him answers, or at least the direction in which the conversation should develop,» he noted.

As is already clear, we did not want to hire such a developer, explains the developer. «Also, it was quite difficult to give him feedback, as I couldn’t understand whether he didn’t know something or his prompter,» said the Haitian.
