The number of active users of Google's Gemini AI chatbot has grown almost 4 times per month in 5 months

Starting in October 2024, when Gemini had 9 million daily active users, in March the company registered 35 million daily active users, writes TechCrunch, citing data from The Information.

However, according to Google data shown in court, Gemini still lags behind other popular AI models. In particular:

• in March, ChatGPT had approximately 600 million monthly active users;
• Meta AI’s user base, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in September, is approaching 500 million monthly users.

The new Gemini 2.5 Pro AI model, which the company introduced on March 25, has been called the «smartest.» According to research by Instabug, Google’s Gemini AI is better at tracking and fixing bugs on iOS than on Android.
