The Ukrainian office of international e-commerce retailer Autodoc is undergoing a large-scale restructuring, which includes plans to reduce 100 to 200 specialists. The optimization process will last from two to three months and will affect developers, digital marketing specialists and specialists in related areas.
This was reported to DOU by the head of Autodoc Ukraine Svyatoslav Beley. Currently, the Ukrainian team has about 880 people, of which almost 400 are technical specialists.
According to the company’s CEO, the restructuring covers all of Autodoc’s European locations. The company is shifting its focus from developing its own e-commerce platform to building a warehouse infrastructure and accelerating the delivery of goods to customers.
During the reduction, employees are offered two months' notice with payment retention, as well as additional compensation in the amount of one month’s salary upon dismissal. Specialists will also be allowed to buy out work equipment at book value. For reserved employees, the transition period is planned to be extended until the end of September 2026 to provide more time to find a new job.
In addition, Autodoc is completely stopping hiring new specialists until the end of 2026. The decision on resuming the expansion of the team will be made based on the results of the first half of 2027. Despite the reduction, the Ukrainian office will retain its role and continue to develop the e-commerce platform, mobile applications, and tools based on artificial intelligence.
The first reports of layoffs at Autodoc’s Ukrainian R&D centers in Kyiv and Odessa appeared in mid-July 2026 in the Telegram channel «Overheard in IT.» According to the source, the wave of layoffs affected developers, testers, technical writers, and project managers.
In total, the international company employs over 5,000 people in Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Moldova. Autodoc’s global IT department has over 500 specialists who provide the e-commerce platform for 27 European countries with a range of 3.7 million products and a customer base of over 5.3 million users.
