According to theDOU survey, 59% of respondents believe that AI will only partially automate their work tasks, but their role will remain important. Another 13% believe that the demand for their field will remain approximately the same, 9% foresee a significant transformation of their role, and only 7% expect an increase in demand due to AI. At the same time, 10% of respondents say that the demand for their specialization may decrease.
The assessment of the impact of artificial intelligence varies significantly depending on the professional field of specialists.
The most confident in maintaining the importance of their own role are expressed by financiers (80% of them believe that their role will remain important), as well as HR specialists, recruiters and L&D (73%), project managers (68%), and marketers (67%).
The share of IT professionals who believe that their specialization will become even more in demand due to AI is highest among specialists in DS / AI / ML / Data Engineering (32%), DefTech (27%), and cybersecurity (Security) (26%).
The greatest threat of a decline in demand is felt by representatives of creative and technical fields. Among them are artists and animators (16%), developers and software engineers (15%), as well as UI/UX and product designers (13%).
Let us remind you that according to the latest DOU study, the number of technical specialists in Ukrainian IT is decreasing - 4 percentage points less per year.
