"The saturation of UAVs per square kilometer is incredible." Chief of Staff of the Nemesis Regiment on the development of unmanned aviation at the front
Chief of Staff of the 412th Nemesis OPBpS Artem Belenkov shared his vision of how results on the battlefield depend on UAVs, and whether drones are capable of replacing infantry.
Chief of Staff of the 412th Nemesis OPBpS Artem Belenkov shared his vision of how results on the battlefield depend on UAVs, and whether drones are capable of replacing infantry.
Speaking about unmanned technological complexes, Artem Belenkov suggested in a video interview for «Army TV» that a significant part of various elements of combat work will be outsourced to robotic systems. In particular, one way or another, in his opinion, surveillance, reconnaissance, mining, evacuation, logistical support of destruction and other functions will be transferred to unmanned systems.
«The saturation of UAVs per square kilometer is incredible,» he notes, recalling that three years ago he had «one Mavic and one Autel.» He also adds that the speed and dynamics of this area’s development are therefore difficult to predict.
And although the chief of staff of the Nemesis regiment is confident that infantry will still remain the backbone of any army, in his opinion, in the future the infantry will have significantly more support due to various technologies.
«Even in classical weapons, we know more about weapons than anyone else, because we have used everything that is produced from south to north and from west to east. And in UAVs, it’s essentially the same — everything is tested here,» adds Artem Belenkov.
«It’s a risk for bombers, but it can be managed.» Chief of Staff of the Nemesis Regiment on the risks of losing Starlink communications and its alternatives at the front
