The Brave1 defense innovation cluster has 11 lawsuits with defense startups for the return of grant funds previously issued to them.
This was stated by the CEO of the cluster, Andriy Hrytsenyuk, in an interview with dev.ua.
«We have only 11 examples of when we sue companies and demand a refund,» he stated, adding that, on the other hand, more than 100 companies that received grant support from Brave1 at the beginning of their creation are now successful and well-known in Ukraine and abroad.

He also added that in Brave1's practice, there have been cases of out-of-court settlement of such problems, when companies simply returned grant funds or some part of them.
«A lawsuit is the last resort. We have several examples where companies simply decided to return the money, although such cases are few. This may not even be related to the product as such, but more to legal and accounting issues,» Andriy Hrytsenyuk explained.
As dev.ua wrote, CEO of the Brave1 defense innovation cluster Andriy Hrytsenyuk expressed confidence that combat lasers developed by Ukraine will be able to shoot down small enemy UAVs this year, but not «Shaheeds» yet.
