«This victory symbolizes a new era for the Ukrainian medtech industry, emphasizing the ability of Ukrainian teams to create breakthrough technologies that not only change the approach to health care, but also determine its future on the world stage,» — the startup said in a press release.
CheckEye, founded in 2022, uses artificial intelligence to mass screen for chronic diseases. The platform combines the experience of Ukrainian practicing doctors and outstanding scientists of the Institute named after IN. P. Filatova with technologies for accuracy and scale of analysis.
«Two years of implementing innovations in the conditions of a full-scale war proved their effectiveness in Ukraine and were recognized by Europe. This victory opens up opportunities to scale our experience to EU countries and the whole world,» said Kyrylo Honcharuk, founder and CEO of CheckEye, who presented the startup in the finals on the main stage in Budapest.
He added that he is glad that the European community «recognizes the importance and timeliness of such innovations» offered by CheckEye.

Recently, the EIT Jumpstarter program named a Ukrainian startup that won in the Rebuild Ukraine category. A total of 10 startups from Ukraine were shortlisted, which were nominated in the EIT RawMaterials, New European Bauhaus, EIT Urban Mobility and Rebuild Ukraine categories.
This is a leading program established by the European Commission in 2016, which supports startups from the countries of Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. The program aims to develop innovations in the field of health care, providing access to international markets, partnerships, and funding.
