«The war has not stopped the development of Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem. Startups are expanding, entering new markets, attracting investment, and creating products that are used all over the world,» Fedorov said .
CheckEye helps preserve vision using artificial intelligence. The technology allows patients to learn about the condition of their eyes in an accessible and timely way. It provides doctors with a tool to quickly detect chronic diseases and prevent disability.
According to Mykhailo Fedorov, in the three years since CheckEye was founded, it has managed to attract about $700,000 in investment, and the startup’s product is already working in 20 medical institutions in Ukraine and has been involved in 10,000 examinations.
Previously, CheckEye received a grant from the Ukrainian Startup Fund for $25,000, and in the spring of 2025, it attracted $100,000 from Google for Startups.
