Anthropic has announced Claude Tag, a new AI-powered tool that integrates into Slack and works not as a regular chatbot but as a full-fledged team member. It can monitor discussions, take on tasks, analyze data, and even remind you of forgotten tasks.

Claude Tag is launching as a research preview for Claude Enterprise and Claude Team plan users. The first platform to integrate is Slack, but Anthropic has already announced plans to expand the functionality to other enterprise services.
Unlike traditional AI assistants that only respond to user requests, Claude Tag receives constant context of the team’s work.
Employees can simply mention him via @Claude in the Slack channel and assign a task. The system then automatically breaks the work into stages, uses the company’s available tools, and returns the result directly to the discussion.
According to Anthropic, Claude Tag can:
A key feature is shared memory. A single instance of Claude runs across the entire Slack channel and accumulates knowledge about the project, so new participants don’t have to explain the context from scratch every time.
During the presentation, the company revealed a revealing fact: an internal version of Claude Tag is already being used by Anthropic’s product teams.
According to the company, about 65% of all code changes to Anthropic products go through the internal version of Claude Tag. In addition to writing code, it is used for metric analysis, working with technical support, and investigating technical issues.
