«Given the recent changes in the situation on the front and the general request to reduce the risks of accidental entry into occupied territories, as well as recent posts by experts in the media about the insufficient level of navigation training and the high level of friendly fire, we decided to open free access to the trial version of the tactical navigator «ComBat 4,» the ComBat Vision Facebook page states .
ComBat Vision adds that this version of the tactical navigator has a built-in ability to view the current situation from open sources and quickly navigate in augmented reality without GPS, moving yourself manually if necessary.
«If you are a logistics driver, a member of a medevac group, a volunteer, or for other reasons you are regularly near a combat zone, then now you have access to a trial version of ComBat 4 with a limit of up to 30 users on the network and without the ability to install additional military plugins,» ComBat Vision reported.
To receive a link to download the application, you can either contact ComBat Vision via the button in the Facebook post, or ask another user who already has the application to share the link in the «About the application» section.
«The full military version, as before, can be downloaded from the MDM Delta corporate market and other military circuits, or by filling out a special application received from the support service,» ComBat Vision reminded.
Later, they added that they did not expect such a stir, so the set limit for test downloads expired in one day.
«Anyone who sees a message when trying to install the application that the download limit has been exceeded, please try logging in in a couple of hours. We are working to expand the limit as soon as possible,» the navigator developers assured.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense’s procurement agency «State Operator of the Rear», which developed the online system for procurement in the army DOT-Chain, reported on additional functions that appeared in the system during the first quarter of 2025.
