At the PlayStation State of Play presentation, Remedy Entertainment officially announced the release date of its new supernatural action game Control Resonant and opened pre-orders.
This became known from the official trailer for the project, where the developers shared details of the plot and gameplay.
Remedy decided not to succumb to the general trend of increasing the cost of AAA games to $70: the standard edition will cost buyers $60, while the digital enhanced version will cost $70.
The good news for the Ukrainian community is that the game will have an official Ukrainian localization upon release. Pre-orders for PC in Ukraine are already open at a price of 1600 UAH, while the game will not be sold at all in the Russian region of Steam.
PlayStation 5 owners who opt for the Enhanced Edition will receive an additional bonus of 48 hours of early access. Xbox and PC players will have to wait until September 24th for the general release.
«Control Resonant is Remedy Entertainment’s largest game ever, with incredible gameplay, plot twists, and creative challenges that will engage and entertain both old and new fans like nothing we’ve created before,» said Johannes Paloheimo, Remedy’s Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Publishing.
He also emphasized that this time the company is self-publishing the game, so its global marketing campaign will be as ambitious as possible.
Let us remind you that the first part of Control was released in 2019 and does not have an official Ukrainian localization. However, the project still received a Ukrainian translation — an unofficial localization was created by a player with the nickname zhurba, who single-handedly translated about 140,000 words into Ukrainian no worse than the professional translators who worked on Alan Wake 2.

Ukrainian players criticized developer Mewgenics for the decision to add Russian localization, despite the fact that Ukrainian was leading in official polls
