The company is based in Atlanta and is backed by leading technology investors. In particular, in July 2024, Pindrop raised $100 million in funding from Hercules Capital, Inc. to develop deepfake detection technologies. At that time, it was known that the company employed about 250 people and that it had raised $234.77 million in venture capital from investors including Vitruvian Partners, CapitalG, IVP, and Andreessen Horowitz.
Pindrop holds 270 patents in voice and AI technology. The company has analyzed 5.3 billion calls, helped prevent $2 billion in fraud, and detected 104 million fraudulent calls.
