The Ukrainian Startup Fund (Innovation Development Fund) announced the results of the first cohort of the Startup EDGE grant program. Following the pitching sessions held on March 12–13, 2026, nine teams working in the fields of DeepTech, EdTech, and GreenTech received funding totaling EUR 300,000.
The Ukrainian Startup Fund (Innovation Development Fund) announced the results of the first cohort of the Startup EDGE grant program. Following the pitching sessions held on March 12–13, 2026, nine teams working in the fields of DeepTech, EdTech, and GreenTech received funding totaling EUR 300,000.
The project is implemented with the support of the EU4Innovation East program, funded by the European Union, co-financed by the French government and implemented by Expertise France. During the first wave, the organizers received more than 190 applications from Ukrainian projects at the pre-seed and seed stages.
The largest grants were won by six teams whose products already have a proven technological base:
eXtra Vision — medical visualization and interactive 3D models for surgeons.
ComeBack Mobility — «smart» crutch tips for rehabilitation after fractures.
MELT WATER Inc. is a cryogenic water purification technology without filters and membranes.
RobocodeXR is a VR platform for teaching robotics and STEM disciplines.
Threat Breaker is an AI cybersecurity platform for small and medium businesses.
chessed.me — online chess tutoring to develop cognitive skills in children.
Three promising projects received funding at an early stage of development:
Antagonist AI is a platform for modeling complex behavior of AI agents.
Dormeza is a digital sleep clinic that combines the BioSleeper gadget and a monitoring system.
LeafWise is a generative AI for visualizing landscape design from photos.
Earlier, Ukraine began accepting applications for the national stage of one of the largest pitch competitions in the world — Startup World Cup 2026. The winner of the local selection will have the opportunity to present their project in Silicon Valley and compete for the main prize of $1,000,000 for the development of innovations.
